I was up early again for a wonder around the moors before the world went bank holiday mad. Not a bad morning either with all the regular species seen. Cuckoo was again around Swallow Moss as was my first Whitethroat of the year also a couple of Grasshopper Warblers amongst the long grass. A bonus bird in the shape of a Whinchat at Bores Grove bought a smile to my face, I think it was just p

assing through unfortunately. I had a cracking encounter with a Hobby it was chasing a skylark feet away from the van but it failed. It knocked around for a couple of minutes before moving on West. Again a quick stop on the causeway at Tittersworth got me 2 Shelduck something a little different for there.
