A message came though before 12am of a Bluethroat at Doxy Marshes a bird I would love to see unfortunately I couldnt get until around 6 in the evening. A very long wait but I did manage get to Doxy before 6pm and the bird was still showing. But what a bugger it was too see feeding in the reeds I managed 5 or 6 views of the bird within 6 feet but good views like earlier in the day were not forthcoming. After 90 minutes I was rewarded with great views compared to the previous couple of hours. What a bird it was too, coming very high on my list of crackers in Staffordshire. Well done the finder who ever it was I owe them a beer.
