The lad wanted to do a little birding this evening so we planned to get him a Peregrine and a couple of Owls. First stop Tittersworth for a Little Owl failed on that one. A quick peek at the res saw around 6 LRPs knocking around just off the causeway. On to the moors then, much better luck with a male Peregrine showing well my little chap was chuffed. Next was to try locate a Short Eared Owl again not a lot of searching needed with excellent views within feet of one hunting. We managed another 10 mins later, by now it was pretty dark but this one was stationary and I could set up the scope for the lad to enjoy it.
