The Solitary Sandpiper has been present for a few days near Garstang Lancashire. Its a bird I have never encountered so I took the time for a look at the little beauty. A little distant but not bad views through the scope and enough to brush up on a few plumage pointers just in case I was lucky enough fall over one locally. £4 quid in the farmers pocket for good access to the bird & everyone is a winner.
