Leach's Bonanza
It was sea watch weather on the Wirral again and I spent most of morning doing just that at various spots. Perch Rock was the prime port of call. A couple of lads were there for dawn and not long after plenty of Leach's showed up and down the Mersey plus a close pale phase Arctic Skua leaving the river. other birds to note were GC Grebe, Guillemot &; Med Gull. I nipped to Leasowe lighthouse but there wasn't much shelter so the scope was bouncing around to much but I didn't need it for a Petrel that flew past not far out from the wall. Back then to New Brighton again nothing that hadn't been seen during the early morning sortie. It was off to Parkgate then in the hope of the Great White Egrets showed I gave it an hour around Donkey Stand flash with only its smaller cousin out in the open. A flit around the Dee produced all the expected waders & a few Common Scoter.
