A couple of hours were spent at Rudyard this evening and reasonable birds were on show for North Staffs. A single Dunlin was amongst 15 Snipe. A Little Ringed Plover, Lapwing, Curlew and the best a Green Sandpiper were the waders of the eve. Plenty of Teal and 2 Shoveler were amongst them. Around 50 pied wagtails were darting around the shallows with a bird I struggle to see North Staffordshire, only yesterday I mentioned Yellow Wagtails were hard to catch up with around here but tonight a juv showed well.
