The Weather looked good for a spot of birding bright sunshine to begin with. I headed to the moors in search of grouse and birds of prey but failed on both. Lots of Meadow Pipits, Skylarks, Curlew and lapwings back for the breeding season. A couple of ravens displaying was the highlight. It was onto
Coombes Valley to try for Goshawk
unfortunately the wind picked up and put pay to that. I did see 2 Sparrow Hawks displaying as well as Kestrel and Buzzard. A few bird around the feeders Nuthatch the star. So it was back to
Tittersworth nothing out of the Normal 2
Oystercatchers were in the reserve as was
Linnit, Reed Bunting,
Redpoll and Lapwing nesting on the spit. The main lake was quiet Tufted duck and
GC Grebe were
numerous. Last point of call was
Greenway Bank to try catch a couple of birds for the camera. Around the feeding station Green and Bullfinch Various Tits and Nuthatch.
