South Wales 1st to4th June
Its was family break time so we headed Tenby area for a few days. I was hoping get a couple birding trips in while i was there but lack of time prevented that. A few quick sessions close to camp got me Chough and Red Kite which are always nice to see and common finches where abundant locally. Rock Pipits where another regular. Me and Little chap booked in for the Sea Bird spectacular around skomer that was well worth the money. Puffin entertained throughout as did Guillimot & Razorbill. A couple of Shags showed for a few second and I always enjoy the Kittiwake coloneys something about the noise that epitomises sea bird colonies. 1 Gannet (juv) showed on the way out to see the rafts of Manx Shearwaters one raft holding about a 1000 birds very impressive having only seen them from shore in dribs & drabs. I got a few images doing some Digibinning would of loved to have a good SLR there
