Rain over night and morning
meant a bit of local birding for myself. Rudyard was the first stop, Bill was already there and unloading the car. Not to bad bird wise for Rudyard 8 Snipe where amongst the mud a good number of teal ( near 50) 10 Wigeon & a lone Shoveler. Near noon a
Dunlin in near Summer plumage dropped in. Very Little on the moors
Tittersworth slightly better with plenty of Teal & Lapwings and close views of G Spotted Woodpecker. A flock of 20 Linnets fed at the edge of the
reservoir just out of camera view
