Wet Morn At Tittersworth

The plan was to knock around North Staffs from dawn but after waking up to rain lashing the window I curled back up. I did manage drag myself to Tittersworth for a couple of hours in the miserable rain at least there was a hide to get comfy in. All the normal stuff around the feeding station Willow Tit, Redpolls, Long tailed Tits, GS Woodpecker, Reed Bunting and a Bonus Nuthatch not so regular. There was a large drop in of Curlew, over 70 graced the fields next to the reserve at around 10-30. A less than regular duck was present in the shape of 2 shovelers its been a while since Ive seen them there. 5 Pochard still remain and a good flock of Tufties were the reserve side. A few Teal were skulking around the reedier fringes. Gull wise very poor just BH gulls on the main lake although it was viewed from the dry warm van. Peregrine was seen although very distant.
