Long Eared Hunt
It was more of a family morning out with the wife & kids than a serious birding session. Parkhall was first in the hope the Long Eared Owls were on show. On arriving a couple of blokes were already watching 2 roosting in the pines not to far from the bench. As normal with these tricky boogers getting clear views was near on impossible but nice just to get to admire them for sometime. A few minutes around the feeders produced many tit species with Willow Tit & Bullfinch my pick. We decided head for Westport Lake for a wander but on arriving the rain had set in so 1 loaf of bread later and a few common species ie Common Gull, Tufties ect it was homeward bound.
