Tittersworth and the moors were the plan this morning. With only a few hours out before packing for sunny Scarborough i was up just after dawn. Tittersworth held the 3 Whimbrel from yesterday, which for up there is a fine bird. Another bird more important to me was a Lesser Whitethroat a first for my Tittersworth list. Churnet had Spotted Flycatcher, GS Woody, Tree Creeper and Dipper. The moors was more alive perhaps decent weather has helped. 2 Cuckoos were around the Swallow Moss area as was Gropper and Tree Pipit. Else where Snipe in full song sat on a post was rather pleasant. Common warblers were in full song and a few youngsters about with Lapwing the coolest of the bunch. I was hoping for a Hobby but perhaps I left a little to early.
