2 Harriers about
Tittesworth was very quiet with nothing out of the ordinary about, common birds around the perimeter and the same with water birds on the reservoir Goosander and Pochard possibly the better of the bunch. It was awfully windy upon the moors which put many birds in cover but BOPs seemed to be out in numbers mainly Buzzards and Kestrels. I managed watch a male Hen Harrier down Stoneyfold lane only for it to be joined by a second male, this one still had a little brown on its back so not a full adult. A great site as they seemed to mock battle with no aggression. Other birds on the move were Wood pigeon and Fieldfares the former in some numbers. An extensive search of the moors didnt produce any other raptor species I was hoping for a kite. The hardy residents of the moors did pop up now and again braving the wind.
