Local

The plan was to have a run out of the area Saturday but unfortunately I had to work. I decided have a couple of hours today spread between Rudyard, Tittesworth and Gun Hill to be honest sitting at home looking out of the window would of been as rewarding. At bit of movement over gun hill with things heading south. The odd Siskin, Mipits around 60 and 6 Jays heading SW. Rudyard a count of 24 Snipe the highlight. Possible best sighting of the day was that beast above. It was huge for a Caterpilla, I have no idea what it is but it certainly was cool. I do a google search see what I can come up with. Best I came up with was Fox Moth. I've just told the hairy beast is a northern eggar.
