I had to wait until the 4th to get my year list off to a boost. Tittesworth was my choice for the morning and it didnt really kick my list off to a good start. Possibly the best water birds of the morning were 3 Pochard need i say more. A count of 25 Snipe on the conservation pool was quite good. A few Tufted Duck are knocking around now but not in any numbers. Willow Tit, Great Spotted Woodpecker and common Tits and finches were hanging around the feeding station. A few small flocks of Winter Thrushes looked well in the sub 0 temperatures. Im hoping for a much better Birding year in 2015 it has been difficult in the year prior but things could be on the up.
