15 May 2010 Hawksmoors NS Moors & Titters
I woke up just after dawn and headed for a look around the moors as i have not seen Golden Plover up there recently. Two miles from my house low mist everywhere so quick change of plan and headed Hawksmoor. It was pretty lively at that time in the morning first bird seen was Nuthatch then closely followed by GS Woody. An hour & half mooching around revealed Redstart, Tree Pipit & Wood Warbler. Also plenty of Commoner ones Garden Warbler Blackcap ect. A quick fly upto the Moors proved fruitless bar Mipits and Grouse. Tittersworth was worth the half an hour as 3 Dunlin dropped in to mix with Curlew and Common Sandpiper. Up early tomorrow too hoping for Great Reed Warbler
