A bit of a funny day all plans went to pot with Spurn falling out of the equation then Blithfield going the same way. So i decided head over the boarder once again. I hit Frodsham at first light and headed for the weaver bend expecting it be rather busy bird wise but very little, a few Lapwing the odd Redshank and Teal. The rest of the marsh was very much the same except a few Dunlin a single Bar Tailed Godwit & Merlin hunting near Marsh farm. Racking my brain where to head next back to Staffs or further into Cheshire i op

ted for Inner Marsh a cracking reserve but tends to be a little busy for myself. Luck would have not many folk about but plenty of birds. 4 Little Stints where dotted about while 2 Curlew Sandpipers fed alongside Dunlin, Knot & Golden Plover. A reasonable flock of Black Tailed Godwits were present and a single Ruff was noted. Snipe in full view along with the duck and A Spotted Redshank flew in to feed with the Redshank. Plenty of duck species plow through too Shelduck, Gadwall, Teal, Shoveler and Wigeon the main stay. I had an hour left so popped to Hoylake a hell of a flock of gulls to search through Common, LBB, BHG & GBB were all i could pick out again I could of missed something Gulls do cause me a headache. It ended up not a bad day after Spurn was out of the question (looks like a few good birds turned up there too)
