The moors & Tittersworth
Getting out with the scope and bins has been difficult of late, yesterday morning saw them dusted off for a few hours not to far away. February isnt a great month for birds locally but is anywhere. Tittersworth was a bit of a surprise as most of the reservoir was covered in ice birds present on the unfrozen water were Pochard, Goosander, Tufteds , Teal and Mallards. The feeders were busy but nothing out of the ordinary arriving whilst was there. 2 Oystercatcher look to be back for another breeding attempt. A run around the moors was not fantastic Peregrine by far the best bird about. Plenty of Skylark have ventured back and pleasant sound as you walked over the moors. A quick check of Horton for Brambling and Wigeon, 51 of the latter zero of the former and with a few mins spare I headed Wincle way for a spot of Dipper watching.

Paul - sometimes just being outdoors in February can be great. You have birds that I have never seen here. Isn't it amazing how many variety of birds there are all over the world. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a great comment on our Shelby. I have had several shepherds in my life and loved them all. They are great dogs for sure.
