Greater is Lesser
I got a call last night saying the Scaup at Tittersworth certainly wasnt a Greater but could be a hybrid The call this morning was more positive about it being a Lesser. I arrived with already quite a few folk there and Pete re-identified it as a Lesser Scaup but we waited on for an open wing view. It certainly looked as it should but Im no expert. Eventually it did open its wing but very briefly I couldn't catch the wing bars but luckily Les managed a pretty good shot. All present were happy with the ID so the news went out, I wonder if its the same bird that stayed at Pennington for a while before Christmas. If its accepted it will be a great bird add to my Tittersworth list.
