Ouzel City

With a busy weekend ahead of me I got up at dawn today and headed to Tittesworth. I didn't linger too long as I was heading up the moor. A male Shoveler was at the far end of the conservation pool and 2 Common Sandpipers were in the margins. A Single LRP was roosting on the pontoon
There were plenty of swallows feeding up over the main reservoir. The moors were very active Curlew,Snipe, Lapwing and Golden Plover made up the waders. Wheatear numbers were up since my last visit and a large flock off Ring Ouzels were very impressive. I counted 26 in Staffordshire and all in one field but that was a conservative count. That knocks spots of my largest total in Staffs
