21 April 2010 Doxey
It was a quick dash to Doxey Marsh with sun dropping faster than normal well so it seemed. I arrived knowing there was not much light left to find the Wood Sandpipers so it was down to luck and little bit of searching lo and behold it was there only for it to be his cousin the Green oh well dipped out. Few other birds to note 3 LR Plovers, Oystercatcher, Goosander, 3 Common Sandpipers, Snipe. At least 3 Grasshopper Warblers heard & a Water Rail as the sun started setting. Nice to familiarise myself with the place again although not much has changed in 5 years. Looks like the beginning of my bird race may start here & possibly again later in the day.
